Week 12 was relatively quiet compared to week 11, but as always, there are notable fantasy players who are banged up as we step one week closer to the fantasy playoffs. Can fantasy managers trust Alvin Kamara the rest of the season? What about Rashee Rice on Thanksgiving? Professional injury analysis on these player injuries and more is provided in the week 12 NFL injury recap below.
Quarterbacks
Lamar Jackson
Injury: Toe injury
Analysis: Jackson did not appear to be injured last week but was an estimated DNP on Monday due to a toe injury. At this point, there is little information present and no real reason for concern, but we'll keep our eyes glued to Baltimore practice reports to see how this progresses. A right-sided toe injury that is moderate in severity could impact rushing and throwing, and a left-sided toe injury could impact rushing (not throwing). But again, at this point, there is no reason for concern.

Baker Mayfield
Injury: Left AC joint sprain
Analysis: Baker underwent an MRI for a left shoulder injury that forced him out of the Sunday night contest. MRI results came back showing a "low-grade AC joint sprain". Functionally, this is great news. AC joint injuries have six different grades, with grades I-II showing little to no joint laxity and always being treated with rehab. Mayfield clearly falls into the grade one to two classifications and should be able to power through the injury. With this being his non-throwing arm, he won't see any negative impact on his fantasy production. The only concern is that a single bad hit could significantly exacerbate the situation.
